CareOne Celebrates National Assisted Living Week

Posted on: September 8, 2017

CareOne communities throughout New Jersey are celebrating National Assisted Living Week (NALW) in earnest this week, September 10 – 16, with a full calendar of entertainment, educational and open house activities.

Hosted by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), which established the event in 1995, NALW celebrates the individuals served in assisted living, while working to educate all involved.

“For CareOne, National Assisted Living Week showcases our mission,” explains Patricia Chiorello, VP of Communications. As a family owned and operated company that has been serving seniors for over 45 years, we understand the importance of uniting residents, their loved ones, our staff and volunteers, and surrounding communities. It’s the core of what we do each and every day.”

Families of residents, caregivers and even those considering working for CareOne are encouraged to participate in NALW events, which run the gamut from movie screenings and cooking demos, to pet therapy and a “Fit, Mind and Yoga” program.  Those interested in participating in NALW activities should call 1-877-99-CARE1 (22731) or contact the individual facility for complete NALW calendars, details and directions.
