Tiki Barber, Co-Founder of Thuzio.com, discusses the CareOne and Healthbridge #SaveDan fundraiser at Fenway Park, hosted by Daniel E. Straus. The event, which featured Michael Strahan, Tiki Barber, NE-YO, and Natasha Bedingfield, was part of a fundraising campaign launched by the companies, which raised $1.3 million for The CareOne Cancer Fund in Honor of Dan Grimes, Inc.

Dan Grimes, a Carver, MA native, father of four children under the age of 12, and long-time HealthBridge employee, was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer earlier this year, despite never having smoked.

“Dan Grimes is an important member of our CareOne family. He has been instrumental in many of our charitable efforts over the last few years, inspiring us all with his dedication and service to others. Now it is our turn to help him and his family, and others fighting cancer. From fundraisers designed and implemented by our incredible staff to tonight’s amazing event, this campaign is a testament to the caring spirit of the CareOne team. I am proud of the time and energy our company dedicated to this important and very personal cause. My daughter Elizabeth has been a great champion of philanthropy in our organization. I have always instilled the value of giving back to others with my children and I am proud that Elizabeth has embraced that philosophy,” said CareOne CEO Daniel E. Straus. The fund will provide financial assistance to individuals and families impacted by cancer as well as provide funds to research organizations. Dan Grimes and his family will receive the initial grants. For more information, please visit http://care-one.com/save-dan/.
